Karmanterra is on a mission to reduce atmospheric carbon and utilize it for a better world by utilizing pyrolysis to solve major global challenges in a circular way. We create a range of biocarbons by repurposing waste into high impact materials that have the potential to transform vertical markets from agriculture to energy, while permanently sequestering atmospheric carbon dioxide.
Unlike other approaches to solving climate challenges, our low-capex, circular waste management systems are proven, reliable, and scalable, producing refined carbons that have considerable co-benefits like improving water retention in soil, increasing crop yields, and diverting waste from landfills.
Biochar provides one of, if not, the most quantifiable and verified approaches to sequestering carbon available. Our team is working with top registries and validation / verification bodies (VVBs) to provide our partners with top-tier carbon credits.
From utilizing waste wood diverted from landfills to supply our biochar facility to mitigating invasive tree species, we are focused on creating circular economies. Our systems permanently remove carbon, creating a pathway to global net-zero goals.
By identifying regional challenges with aligned companies, governments, and NGOs, then deploying our circular waste solutions, we can achieve great things. Our aim is to restore degraded land, improve plant outcomes, and sequester 1.8 gigatons of carbon by 2050.
Carbon has become synonymous with detrimental impact, however, there are ways to beneficially use carbon to improve ecosystems worldwide. Here at Karmanterra, we believe that carbon is a catalyst for positive change and we seek to deploy it wherever possible to increase soil health, reduce carbon footprints, and create a better world.
