Through our operations we generate impactful Carbon Dioxide Removal Credits (CORCs) that provide quantifiable atmospheric carbon reductions that will drive us towards a carbon neutral economy.
Every ton of biochar produced sequesters roughly 2.7 tCO2e and the durability of the carbon in soil and materials has been shown to last over 1000 years. By utilizing streams of waste that would otherwise be burnt or left to decompose in a landfill, we divert these carbon emissions into productive means repurposing waste into high value, impactful products.
The carbon markets offer a valuable and vital role in attracting project finance for important and scalable climate related projects. Biochar based CORC credits will continue to play a valuable role in these emerging markets, by offering affordable and quantifiable removals to buyers looking to make an impact. Compared to other forms of Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) technologies such as Direct Air Capture (DAC) biochar enables the sequestered carbon to be repurposed in a highly valuable way. By utilizing this carbon for soil regeneration and agriculture, we enable a much more increased proliferation of the carbon cycle.
While currently methodologies go a long way to protect the environment and enable large companies to offset their carbon emissions, we are actively engaging with stakeholders to strategically develop new methodologies and protocols that will enable and advance new projects that offset and sequester carbon within our core focus of development.
